New Delhi: Taking a precautionary measure, the Indian Air Force (IAF) on Saturday sent its three personnel to home quarantine after one of them visited the Nizamuddin area on the day of Markaz.

The airman who was present in the Nizamuddin area during the Tablighi Markaz congregation has been put under quarantine as a precautionary measure, an IAF official said.

As far as other two are concerned, they had come in contact with him. Following standard operating procedures, they were also sent to quarantine.

As of now all three were asymptomatic and hence there is no case of covid-19 at present in the Air Force, an IAF Spokesperson said.

Whether he attended this Jamaat meeting or not is under investigation by the Indian Air Force, the spokesperson added.

The number of coronavirus cases in India have risen to over 3,000 with 75 deaths.
