Gen Rawat visits Mamun Military Station in PathankotAfter reviewing operational preparedness of the troops in the border town of Pathankot, Army chief Gen Bipin Rawat on Monday expressed confidence to deal with any threat manifested by inimical or anti national elements. The Army chief visited Mamun Military Station in Pathankot along with GOC-in-C Western Command Lt Gen Surinder Singh.
Gen Rawat and the Western Army Commander were received by Rising Star Corps GOC Lt Gen YVK Mohan AOC Pathankot Air Force Station Air Commodore P Mohan, according to Army sources.
The Army chief was also briefed by the military officers about the operational preparedness and upgradation of security infrastructure. Gen Rawat lauded the morale of the troops.
