Amritsar: Indian Army chief General MM Naravane on Tuesday visited formations of Vajra Corps at Amristar and Ferozepur and reviewed the operational preparedness along the western border.
The chief was accompanied by Western Army commander Lieutenant General RP Singh.
They were briefed on the operational environment and security situation by Lieutenant General Sanjeev Sharma, GOC, Vajra Corps and the GOCs of Panther and Golden Arrow Divisions.
General Naravane interacted with the troops and lauded them for their high morale and motivation.
He also awarded Commendation Cards to individuals for their bravery and devotion to duty.

The Army chief also commended the efforts of the formations in the ongoing fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and also exhorted all ranks to maintain focus on operational preparedness at all times.
