The fourth edition of India and Malaysia joint military exercise Harimau Shakti 2023 concluded after the validation training at Umroi in Meghalaya. The exercise facilitated synergy in the conduct of joint tactical operations and promoting understanding and interoperability between the two armed forces.
Commenced on October 23, the joint military exercise between two neighbouring countries involved a wide array of multidomain operations (MDO), focusing on tactical drills and the use of modern technologies such as drones, unmanned aerial vehicles, and helicopters.
The exercise was aimed at enhancing operational capabilities in sub-conventional warfare environments.
In the exercise, soldiers from Malaysia's Fifth Royal Battalion and troops from Indian Army’s Rajput Regiment participated in the 14-day exercise.
In Exercise Harimau Shakti V – 2023, the Command Post Exercise (CPX) focused on the abilities of unit commanders and staff officers in operational plan formulations.
