Chandigarh: Indian Army's Western Command has been preparing on a war footing to combat the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) threat and has initiated a series of preventive and precautionary measures.
Some of the special protective equipment is being utilized by the medical staff & decontamination squads.
Decontamination vehicles have been provisioned within existing resources in most of the military stations, cantonments and buses have been specially modified with medical facilities to carry suspected or quarantine persons.
All stations in Western Command have instituted social distancing and sanitisation measures in its premises like offices, ration stores and other essential services.
