CISF plays vital role in rescue operations at NLC fire in Tamil Nadu

New Delhi: Central Industrial Security Force’s (CISF) Fire unit  on Wednesday  played a significant role in rescue operation after a fire broke out in NLC India Limited, Neyveli in Tamil Nadu.

According to the CISF, at wee  hours  about 1000 hrs on Wednesday, a massive fire broke out in the boiler area of Unit-5 of the Thermal Power Station–2 at NLC India Limited, Neyveli due to an explosion.

On-duty crew of CISF Fire Service Wing deployed at Thermal Power Station-2 of NLC Neyveli along-with fire tender rushed to the spot immediately to contain and extinguish the fire. The message was also communicated to senior officers, all fire stations of CISF Fire Wing NLC Neyveli for reinforcement.
