According to media reports, well-known designer Raghavendra Rathore, who is renowned for promoting Indian heritage through his brand, has designed the uniforms for the Mahila Praharis of the camel contingent.

It may be noted that BSF’s camel contingent has been a part of the Republic Day parade since 1976. The contingent is also a part of the Beating Retreat ceremony, held on January 29. It stands on the ramparts of the North and South Blocks atop Raisina Hill.
