New Delhi: The government on Friday appointed 1999-batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer Rahul Shrivastava as the next Ambassador of India to Romania.
Presently, he posted as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs and is expected to take up the assignment shortly, an official release said.
Prior to joining the ministry in 2018, he was the ambassador to Venezuela from 2016-18.
In the past, he had also served in Russia, UK and Kazakhstan.
