New Delhi: The government on Tuesday appointed senior diplomat A Ajay Kumar as the next High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Uganda.
Mr Kumar, a 2001-batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) is currently posted in the Ministry of External Affairs as joint secretary, an official statement said.
He is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
Earlier, he had held the position of Counsellor in Embassy of India and Ambassador of India to the Republic of Iraq.
