Eid-ul-Fitr: PM Modi dials Bangladesh PM and UAE’s Crown Prince

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday dialed his counterpart from Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina and UAE’s Crown Prince Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and extended greetings on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of the Muslims.

Mr Modi and Ms Hasina shared their assessment of the damage caused by Cyclone Amphan in both countries.

The leaders also discussed the COVID pandemic situation and the ongoing collaboration between the two countries in this regard.

The prime minister reaffirmed India’s support to Bangladesh in addressing these challenges.

During interaction with the Crown Prince of UAE, Mr Modi thanked him for the support extended to Indian citizens in his country.

The leaders expressed satisfaction about the effective cooperation between the two countries during the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

Mr Modi also conveyed his best wishes for the good health and well-being of the Crown Prince, the Royal Family and the people of the UAE.
