New Delhi: India has given 21 ventilators to Guyana to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

Indian High Commissioner KJ Srinivasa handed over these ventilators to Guyana’s Health Minister on Monday as part of one million US Dollar assistance by India to combat the Covid-19 outbreak.

“HC @drkjsrini hands over 21 ventilators to #Guyana Min of Health Hon @fcsanthony1 in presence of @pahowho reps as part of 29 ventilators+other medical supplies & equipment procured under India Govt assistance of US$1 mn to Guyana for combating #COVID19 @meaindia @IndianDiplomacy,” Indian High Commission in Guyana tweeted.

The assistance is aimed at improving health infrastructure and capacities in that country. In August India had extended one million US Dollar assistance to Antigua and Barbuda to fight the Corona virus.
