New Delhi: In a significant development, Indian prime minister Narendra Modi handed over G20 Presidency for 2024 to Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on Sunday after the successful conclusion of the Summit in Delhi.

Earlier, Modi received a sapling from Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Brazilian President Lula da Silva, representing the G20 presidencies of last year and the next year.
The ceremony took place just before starting Session III ‘One Future’ of the G20 Summit.
First Indonesian president handed over the sapling to Modi and then Lula da Silva presented the sapling to him.
