New Delhi: Reviewing the ongoing bilateral defence ties initiatives, India and South Korea on Friday agreed to take forward the agreements in the field of defence industry and defence technology cooperation between both the countries.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had a telephonic interaction with his South Korean counterpart Jeong Kyeong-Doo and expressed commitment to further promote defence cooperation engagements between their Armed Forces.
The two leaders also had discussions on issues pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the defence ministry said in a statement.

Views on the regional developments of shared security interests were also exchanged during the telephonic conversation.
Singh informed his South Korean counterpart on India’s contribution to international efforts against COVID-19 and discussed areas of mutual cooperation in the global fight against the pandemic.
The two defence ministers also agreed to work together to deal with the complex challenges posed by this pandemic, it added.
They also exchanged views on the regional developments of shared security interests during the telephonic call.
