Killing of Soleimani showed US arrogance: Iran Foreign Minister

New Delhi: Amidst ongoing tensions between the United States and Iran, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif on  said that killing of Iraqi General Qasem Soleimani has showed ignorance and arrogance of US.

While terming evolving circumstances in Iran as very sad , Zaria said that there is need to create a new hope in the region.

The Iranian Foreign Minister is in India for three day visit to attend the fifth edition of the Raisina Dialogue



Pertinently, his remark came at a time when tension between the US and Iran has attracted global attention focusing prevailing atmosphere in the Middle East region post the killings of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani with an American drone in Iraq on Pentagon ordered.

Zarif in his dialogue has given the reference of JCOPA and alleged America for violating international laws.

While India is also one of the largest oil importer, Zarif said that 430 Indian cities witnessed protests against the General’s killing.

430 Indian cities saw protests against the General's killing. “General Soleimani was the single biggest threat to ISIS, Trump, Pompeo and Daesh are celebrating the killing of our General,”he added.

“The US never liked Soleimani while he was the only most effective force against Daesh,” Zarif asserted.

Adding,”If you don't believe me, see they ( ISIS & Daesh )are celebrating. Who are celebrating the death of Soleimani? Not the ordinary people, but Trump, Pompeo and Daesh.”

“We are suffering most as Iran has incurred 120 billions of dollars in damages,” Iran’s Foreign Minister said.

Interestingly, Iran has cleared that Iran is interested in diplomacy but not interested in negotiating with US.
