Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday arrived at Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Defence Ministers Meet, starting Monday.
“Smt @nsitharaman arrives in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Defence Ministers Meet tomorrow,” the defence ministry said in a tweet.
“@DefenceMinIndia arrives at Kyrgyzstan for SCO mtg of Def Ministers. Kyrgyzstan is Chair of SCO at present. RM received by Chief of Kyrgyz Air Defence among others. Traditional breads served on arrival,” the ministry’s spokesperson tweeted.
The events will be concluded on April 30 in Bishkek.
The meetings will discuss further interaction and strengthening of cooperation in security sector.
The participants will also exchange views on the acute issues of the regional and international agendas.
