US-Iran crisis: Rajnath Singh holds talk with Japanese counterpart

New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday held a telephonic conversation with his Japanese counterpart Taro Kono and discussed ways to enhance bilateral security cooperation.

“The two Defence Ministers had discussions on enhancing the bilateral security cooperation under the framework of the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership,” a defence official said.

They also exchanged views on regional security situation.

“On Jan 9, Defense Minister Kono held a telephone conversation with H.E. Rajnath Singh, Minister for Defence of India. Both ministers exchanged views on bilateral defense cooperation and regional security environment. #JMOD/#JSDF,” the Japanese Defence Ministry said in a tweet.
