India deploys aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya in Arabian Sea

New Delhi: Amidst ongoing China-Pakistan naval exercise in the northern Arabian Sea, India has deployed its aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya in the Arabian Sea.

“Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (DCNS) reviews #CarrierOperations in the Arabian Sea. VAdm MS Pawar, DCNS embarked #INSVikramaditya during the week to review #OperationalReadiness,” Indian Navy said in a series of tweets.

On January 6, China and Pakistan launched a 9-day major drill in the North Arabian Sea with an aim to enhance their all-weather strategic partnership.

“DCNS was extremely pleased to witness the Intense #AirOperations with High levels of motivation & #willtowin, that were evident onboard the Queen of the Battle. He expressed confidence that #INSVikramaditya will live up to the Name & remain #Victorious in Battle - ALWAYS,” the Indian Navy said in another tweet.

The exercise 'Sea Guardians' is taking place in the midst of heightened tension between India and Pakistan over the Kashmir issue.

Both babies deployed their key platforms, including submarines, destroyers and frigates, are part of the exercise.
