Mumbai: Indian Navy advanced light helicopter (ALH) had ditched off Mumbai coast during a routine sorties, on Wednesday. The force immediately launched a search and rescue operation and ensured safe recovery of crew members by the naval patrol craft.
There were three crew members onboard ALH.
“An inquiry to investigate the incident has been ordered,” Indian Navy spokesperson Commander Vivek Madhwal said.
Earlier this week, the Navy had deployed ALHs into fighting the blaze at the Kochi Corporation’s Brahmapuram solid waste treatment plant.
