New Delhi: The Indian Navy on Saturday said it has successfully conducted maiden Arrested Landing of Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) on board its aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya.

It is pertinent to mention here that the aircraft carrier has been deployed in Arabian Sea amidst ongoing joint naval drill between China and Pakistan in the Northern Arabian Sea.

“The developmental LCA (N) MK1 achieved an important milestone today with the successful Arrested Landing on board the #IndianNavy aircraft carrier #INSVikramaditya,” the Indian Navy said in a tweet.

Earlier, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and its Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) had tested it.
