New Delhi: Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen Bipin Rawat will inaugurate the fifth edition of Delhi Gymkhana Club's (DGC) annual literary festival on February 22.
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, Consulting Editor of India Today Group Rajdeep Sardesai, retired Judge of Delhi High Court Justice Mukul Mudgal, NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant, author Anuj Dhar, literary historian Rakshanda Jalil and actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha will be part of the two-day event, an official statement said.
The fest will start with a keynote address by Gen Rawat and hold sessions on subjects like Kashmir, war & peace, leadership, environment, heritage, digital era and how well is India coping with rapid transformation, the statement added.
One of India's oldest private club, DGC, hosted it's first lit fest in 2016.
Established during the British 'Raj' in India in 1913, it was earlier known as 'Imperial Delhi Gymkhana Club' and has a distinguished membership list, including former prime ministers, senior government and defence officials, members of the judiciary, corporates, business houses and other eminent citizens.
