New Delhi: A total of 60 Head of Missions in India will be taken to leading biotech companies in Hyderabad, Bharat Biotech and Biological E on December 9.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is organising this visit in continuation of COVID-19 briefing to Head of Missions in India on November 6.
“More than 60 HoMs are being taken to leading biotech companies in Hyderabad, Bharat Biotech and Biological E,” sources in the government said on Tuesday.
This is the first such visit and it will be followed by visits to facilities in other cities.
“We have been contributing significantly to global efforts against COVID 19 pandemic. There is a lot of interest in India’s vaccine development efforts,” the sources said.
India is the world’s largest vaccine manufacturer.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said India's vaccine production and delivery capacity will be used to help all humanity in fighting this crisis.
