New Delhi: A new book “Women and Sabrimala” was launched here in an effort to presents a never-before discussed perspective on the science behind the restrictions imposed on women in the Sabarimala temple.
Written by Sinu Joseph, Senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament from New Delhi constituency Meenakshi Lekhi along with Centre for South Indian Studies (CSIS) President Bipindra NC and renowned spiritual writer A Arvind Subramanyam launched the book in the national capital on Thursday.
Talking about sloganeering against “Manu’s ideology” in protests called at various parts of the country, Ms Lekhi said “Manu” had recognised the women’s right.
“Those who chant ‘Manuvaad sai azaadi’ do not know about Manu that he always raise his voices for the rights of women in the society.”
She also said that “we must respect whatever be the Supreme Court’s verdict.”
