New Delhi: Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Ashwini Choubey on Sunday inaugurated the second edition of Vanvasi Raksha Parivar Kumbh and said that the forest dwellers were a strong pillar of India’s culture.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Choubey said, “Vanvasi (Forest dwellers) are the strong of pillar of India’s rich culture and traditions. Lord Rama and Mahavir Hanuman are a divine and sacred example before all of us.”
On the occasion, former Goa Governor Mridula Sinha, VHP International President Srivishnu Sadashiv Kokje, Mahamandaleshwar Acharya, Swami Anubhutananda Giri Ji Maharaj, Geeta Manishi Swami and Gyananand Maharaj Ji were present.
Vanvasi Raksha Parivar Foundation Organization Incharge Virendra Kumar highlighted the objectives and said that “ekal abhiyan” is dedicated for creating awareness, instilling sense of self-respect and nationalism in 4 lakh tribal villages across the country.
The forest dwellers from 11 states participated in the event.
Former Governor Goa Mridula Sinha said appreciated the works carried out by the Foundation.
