New Delhi: On the occasion of 74th Independence Day, President Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday paid tributes to fallen soldiers who laid down their lives in protecting the territory of India at the National War Memorial in New Delhi.
Mr Kovind laid a wreath at the Memorial and paid homage to the Martyrs.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane, Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh and Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria were present on the occasion.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the national flag and subsequently delivered the customary address to the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort.
