Army’s Dao Division conducts cycle expedition from Tezu to Kibithu and back

Fostering the spirit of sports and adventure and youth development in remote areas of Arunachal Pradesh, the Lekhapani Regiment under the aegis of “DAO Division” organised a cycle expedition from Tezu to Kibithu and back.
82 Mountain Brigade Commander Brig Robby Kapoor flagged off the expedition at Tezu in Arunachal Pradesh.
The motto of DAO cycle expedition is to inculcate the spirit of adventure and to motivate the local youths of the area to join the Indian Army.
The 10 days expedition comprising of a ten member team commenced from Tezu and will route through Salangam, Hayuliang, Changwinti, Walong enroute and will reach Kibithu on January 9, an Indian Army spokesperson.
The team will be covering a treacherous terrain of 452 Kms from Tezu to Kibithu and back, experiencing change in the altitude from 600 ft to 7000 ft.
The team will interact with the local youths enroute to educate & motivate them to join Indian Army.
The expedition is scheduled to culminate on January 15 at Tezu.
