After foiling Pakistan Army’s Border Action Team (BAT) attack across the Line of Control (LoC) few days back, the Indian Army has asked its troops to be extra cautious in a bid to possible ambush from Pakistan.
Sources in the security establishment said, “The commandos of Pakistan Army and terrorists movement have been seen on the LoC in the recent past and there is a possibility of attacking on our security forces.”
On December 31, the Indian Army had foiled BAT action in Jammu and Kashmir’s Nagaum sector.
“A team of half a dozen persons of Pakistan Army’s special service guard (SSG) and Lashkar terrorists have been spotted opposite Rajouri and Poonch sector within a a week,” the sources added.
The SSG commandos and terrorist groups are generally part of BAT commando teams which are used to strike targets and posts in the Indian Territory.
"The Army other security forces deployed along the LoC have been warned about these terrorist teams,” it added.
