CRPF flags-off 1st batch of J&K students for “Bharat Darshan”

Srinagar: Aiming to integrate the youths from Jammu and Kashmir into mainstream and inculcate a sense of belongingness, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Wednesday flagged off the first batch of 46 boys and girls for a ‘Bharat Darshan’ throughout the country.

The batch was flagged off by CRPF’s Inspector General Srinagar Sector Ravideep Singh Sahi here.

Nine groups comprising of 414 boys and girls along with their teachers will visit Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad from December 18 2019 to February 27, 2020, a CRPF official said.

During their tour, CRPF personnel  will accompany them for coordination and safety of the children.

The students will visit to various historical locations, adventurous places, monuments, cultural sites, heritage and religious places such as Red Fort, India Gate, Qutub Minar, Jamia Masjid, Gateway of India, Ramoji Rao film city, Wonder La adventure park among others.

They will also interact with renowned personalities of national and international fame and prominent Muslim dignitaries and celebrities for exchange of knowledge and exposure to their success stories.

The program is aimed at providing opportunity to deserving underprivileged students as most of the students have never travelled by air or visited places beyond the valley, the official added.

The tour will enable the students to widen their horizon and experience the cultural and linguistic diversity of the nation.

The tour will further people to people contact and help in understanding the tradition, culture and ethos of our country.

Last year, over 356 students visited Pune, Mumbai, Chennai and Trivandrum and had memorable moments during their eight-day tour.
