Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman will meet the family members of Late Rifleman Aurangzeb on Wednesday in his village Salani of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The Raksha Mantri will visit Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow and will meet the family of the martyred soldier,” S Rajashekhar, Spokesperson in the ministry of defence said.
The minister will also take stock of security situation in the state.
On Monday, Army Chief Gen Bipin Rawat also met the bereaved family members and said that the supreme sacrifice of brave-heart will not go in vain.
On June 15, a rifleman with 44 Rashtriya Rifle Aurangzeb was abducted by the terrorists from Shopian district on his way to home for Eid celebrations and later he was found killed in Pulwama.
