New Delhi: Northern Army Comamnder Lt Gen Ranbir Singh on Monday called on Defence Minister Rajnath Singh here.
Lt Gen Singh who was awarded Param Vishisht Seva Medal for the gallantry services, is set to retire on January 31. “It was a courtesy visit,” an official said.
Lt Gen Singh is succeeded by Kargil war hero Lt Gen YK Joshi. He is currently serving as the Chief of Staff of the Northern Command.
